SIGHT-READING
This week in class, you will be required to complete a sight-reading assessment (20 pts.)  You will not need to do anything outside of class to prepare.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
BRING TICKET MONEY IN!  Our final fundraiser of the year:  an old-fashioned ice-cream social!  It will be on Thursday, May 31 (rescheduled), from 4-6 pm, and will also feature the final performance of the Harmonics (beginning at 5:15 pm).    Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday 5/30; you can purchase by bringing your money directly to Ms. K or online (tickets will be at will call at the event).

Tickets cost $7, which gets guests 2 big scoops of ice cream and unlimited toppings.  If people complain that it is too much money, you can remind them that it *is* a fundraiser/performance AND...UNLIMITED TOPPINGS! You can now purchase tickets online at www.lincolnperformingarts.com; click here to go there now.

Sign up to bring toppings!  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0e49aba82faa8-icecream

Harmonics: we will have another lunch rehearsal of your music on Tuesday, May 29 at lunch.  Make sure that you have listened to the music before then and practiced it for yourself!

All singers:  Please wear your sing shirt and black pants/skirt for our performance!

CHOIR FINALS
The finals for all classes are as follows:
I. Participation in Finale Concert (100 points)
and
II. Memory Page Project (50 points)
Make a memory page for Miss Katemopoulos's "yearbook." It can be up to 12"x12", but should be flat enough to fit in a scrapbook.
It must include the following:
•Student name
•Picture of student
•Favorite song(s) sung this year
•A little biographical information, i.e. year in school, what student enjoys doing, hobbies, etc...
•A little "yearbook"-type message
•Student signature and date
•AND...ANYTHING ELSE that you wish that will make
the page unmistakably yours: collage, poem, drawings, stickers...whatever you want!

You can design it all online and print it out if you wish, or you can use the old-fashioned technique of glue and scissors.  There will be some free supplies for you to use if you wish, or you can provide your own paper/supplies.

The Unsung Hero is someone who has selflessly gone above and beyond to help, inspire and be a positive example to his/her colleagues.

This week's unsung hero is Elle Nilson, who sings in Estetica.  On Friday, Elle talked about one of her classmates at the jazz concert, but she could easily have been describing herself! She is kind, helpful and has a terrific voice!
